Candlesticks
In the last book I'd read about the candlesticks, but in this book, I read not only about the candlesticks but the patterns, when they occur, when they are exact when they are not.
The earlier book was a little vague one, however, this book explained many things in detail with a lot of examples, graphs, charts.
The book starts with the different types of the candlesticks, progressing ahead with the patterns, which are quite necessary to confirm if the candlestick is following the rule...more

Great read for those who want a more in-depth analysis on candlesticks. It was helpful for me to see the questions. This is boring stuff though. I had trouble keeping my focus but the questions helped me reread the material. I’m going to keep this one so I can reread it again in the future.

This gives you background on how investing came to exist as it is currently in america. You may not stay within his umbrella of products and tools. But he does give you a deeper dive at the foundation.

Hm. This is a tough on. Two opposing camps for investing - technical investors vs probabilities investors. The thing with technical investors is that it doesn't really matter if you believe in it - what matters is that everyone ELSE does, so it becomes a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy. So, best to know what everyone else is thinking, hm? A simple easy to understand technical guide to Japanese candlestick charts. Not for beginners. Read Technical Analysis for Dummies first. Yes, really.

More than just the absolute basics but not quite as complicated as the more advanced candlestick patterns. This book is perfect for learning to identify what candlesticks to use WITH a system for better entries and exits. Using the tools in this book increased my success rate in my backtesting by nearly 15%. Highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to put the finishing touches on an already successful charting system.

I received this as a Christmas gift. This is a nice refresher course in reading candlesticks. If you're new to candlestick charting, a better first book would be his Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques.
My start in charting was with the standard western 'open-high-low-close' bar charts. It wasn't until I learned candlesticks that I felt comfortable making investment decisions. Candlesticks are a very visual mode of reading the market.

Because this book teaches you investing, it is quite technical. But it does a good job of breaking up the text by asking the reader to answer questions that review what you've just read. If you want to learn the technical side of investing, and don't rely on Candlesticks exclusively, this can help your investments grow faster than any index fund.
Like this book, intro to candlestick chart reading. Like the chapter once everything is introduced, you have a chapter to read the stock chart bit by bit and apply what Steve introduced. Will practice it myself.
Must read for beginners ..Really informative ..
Nothing new after his Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques; fairly simplistic, although has some good walkthroughs.
Perfect for a newbie wanting to learn how to identify Japanese candlestick patterns.

I really needed this book. It is written in short chapters with quizzes at the end. For dry information, I need the quizzes to keep me into it. I would give it more stars if it had more patterns.
The Basic to understand market signals-it's a must...
